I began as an addict, I mean hobbyist, started breeding & selling a bit, then started Stamps Tarantulas as an online dealer.
Now my goal is to bring new & rare species into the US that have never or at least seldom been offered here.

Pros - First order had two problems but was offered satisfying resolutions, second order went perfect.

Emails were always replied to in a reasonable amount of time (needed one reminder after a week of no reply but I was not always the fastest to reply myself either, it was not a problem in any way)

Both transactions had great pricing due to the sales being offered at the time.
Cons - First order had two problems but see "Pros" comment.

First order had a size vs price mixup (received size of two slings of the same species was half the advertised size for the price) and a while later realized one spider was not what I had ordered. Steven made it right after supplying photos and referencing ID keys and a thread here on AB.
Long but explains my experiences well.

My first order with Stamps was earlier this spring, late March I think, maybe April. I ordered seven spiders overall and what I received were healthy, happy spiders  I had issues with three of them. Two N. coloratovillosus slings that were advertised as 1.5" but received 3/4". I only ordered them because the price for the size was really good. Website updates created a mixup on the size for the price. I was offered a freebie or discount on a future order and a sincere apology.

Fast forward a couple months and being fairly new to pokies I posted a photo of the now nearly 5" rufilata that I had ordered as a 3" spider (two molts) and was quickly told it was an ornata. Others confirmed and I dug through various ID charts for dorsal leg banding and features as well. I notified Steven and after a few emails he agreed and offered store credit since he didn't have any rufilatas to replace it with. Sounds fine, can't ship what you don't have, I just really wasn't looking for ornata.

A month or so passes and he has a sale that I can't pass up despite having just bought a new refrigerator unexpectedly a few days prior :p He had a P. miranda female and I'd wanted one of those when I had my first collection a while back so I ordered it and let him know I had submitted an order and to please let me know the final price after store credit for the mis-ID but also that I wasn't concerned about the freebie/discount offer from the coloratovillosus mixup any more and to not worry about that. I received full credit for the spider mixup and a very, VERY awesome freebie for my troubles anyway  Thanks again Steven! Above and beyond :) Only problem is I now have a new genus to collect lol :D

The first order seems to have been a fluke having two problems, the second order went perfect, packaging was good, and I'd be willing to place another order. Mistakes happen, it's how the business handles it that makes all the difference in my world. But that's not to say that commonly having them is ok either. If I had problems on a third order I would have serious reservations about a fourth. I don't foresee that being a problem though and will keep an eye on his site for future specimens. I suggest you do the same.

Pros - Great price for H. pulchripes sling, great packing, fast shipping.
Cons - Not any communication, really. But not a huge deal as I got the FedEx email alert when it was shipped.
Purchased a .5 inch H. pulchripes sling. Very good price, fast shipping, great packing. T was in great shape and very active!

Pros - 2 uncommon species located
Great pricing for both, despite their rarity
Excellent communication, prompt and tolerant of my eccentricity
I inquired about several species which are uncommon in the US hobby, and they were located extremely quickly. I got a juvenile female of one and a subadult pair of the other. The pricing was excellent for the species and size of the specimens and the communication before and after the purchase was top notch. Thank you!
